JAPAN has pledged an investment of US$1.5 billion to support investment by that country’s companies in boosting Zambia’s mining sector.
Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Saito Ken said during a bilateral meeting with Mines and Minerals Development Minister Paul Kabuswe in Tokyo on Wednesday that the Japanese Business Corporation was eager to invest in Zambia’s mining industry.
This is according to a statement issued by First Secretary Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in Tokyo, Faith Chilube.
