THE Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) and Blooming Chemical Industry Limited have signed an Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (IPPA) for the construction of a fertiliser plant valued at $845 million.
The fertiliser plant to be constructed in Siavonga, Southern Province is one of the $50 billion committee investments recorded by ZDA last year being actualised.
The project aims to produce 520 000 tonnes of urea and 300 000 tonnes of ammonia as a by- product per year.
