‘Revive stalled Mopani projects’

THE National Union of Miners and Allied Workers (NUMAW) has urged the International Resources Holding (IRH), the equity partner for Mopani Copper Mines (MCM) to revive expansion projects which had stalled in 2020.
These include the Synclinorium concentrator and Mindola deep shaft in Kitwe, and Henderson shaft in Mufulira
NUMAW president Saul Sianjika said in an interview that the equity partner should focus on developing the expansion projects to help increase production levels.
