THE Zambia Forest and Forestry Industries Corporations (ZAFFICO) generated a revenue of K423 million from the sale of round wood and treated poles in the financial year ended December, 2023.
The revenue grew to K423 million from K386 million recorded in 2022, representing a 10-per cent rise.
The company in the abridged results for the financial year ended December, 2023 posted by the Lusaka Securities Exchange Commission (LuSE) attributed the growth in sales to the increased demand in eucalyptus saw logs.
ZAFFICO states that the operating expenditure incurred in the year under review was K411 million as compared to K405 million in 2022, representing an increase of 1.5 per cent.
