ZAMBIA recorded a 3.1 per cent increase in the value of exports of mainly domestically-produced goods for January this year while the value of imports went down by 2.9 per cent, the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) has said.
The annual inflation for February 2024 has, however, increased to 13.5 per cent.
In its monthly bulletin, the ZamStats says the country in January 2024 recorded a 3.1 per cent increase in exports as compared to 2.9 per cent decrease in imports during the same period.
