THE Government is in the process of procuring aircraft for the Zambia Police Service to support crime prevention activities.
Acting Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Frank Tayali said the procurement would begin with one helicopter and two officers had since been trained as pilots and attached to the Zambia Air Force (ZAF).
Mr Tayali said four more officers in the service were going to be trained ahead of the enhanced version of crime prevention.
He said this in Parliament yesterday in response to a question for oral answer by Mitete United Party for National Development (UPND) Member of Parliament (MP) Misheck Mutelo.
