THE Government has charged that the opposition Patriotic Front (PF) faction is attempting to rebrand under the newly-formed United Kwacha Alliance (UKA), with former president Edgar Lungu as presidential candidate in the 2026 general elections.
Chief Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa said that Mr Lungu was the architect of UKA after realising that the PF was tainted with an image of maladministration during the former president’s rule between 2015 and 2021.
