CABINET has approved the formulation of the National Security Strategy which will comprehensively address risks, threats and challenges to national security.
Chief Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa said yesterday that the National Security Strategy was an important framework expected to broaden focus on the country’s national security beyond maintaining peace.
He said in a statement that the strategy would be comprehensive, assure citizens freedom from fear, including economic, health, food, environmental, personal and political security as well as the defence of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
