THE poor management of waste in Lusaka is reducing the gains being made to control the cholera outbreak, Health Minister Sylvia Masebo has said.
Giving an update on the cholera situation in the country yesterday, Ms Masebo said the country had continued to record high cholera numbers because of the poor waste management and poor hygiene practices in some of the communities.
She appealed to the citizens to unite and safeguard the communities from preventable diseases by ensuring their households and surroundings were environmentally clean and safe.
