THE Government has urged the private sector to innovate, develop efficient, accessible as well as affordable and acceptable green alternative cooking technologies that can be as convenient as the traditional charcoal energy.
Green Economy Minister Collins Nzovu said charcoal was widely used because it was cheap, affordable and accessible. Charcoal was culturally acceptable among Zambians.
