Increased rainfall pushes up Kariba Dam water levels to 477.30 metres

WATER levels at Kariba Dam are increasing and currently at 477.30 metres due to increased rainfall.
According to the Zambia River Authority (ZRA) website, on Lake Kariba weekly levels, this is compared to the 475.72 metres recorded in January, last year.
The Kariba Lake is designed to operate between levels 475.50m and 488.50m (with 0.70m freeboard) for hydropower generation.
