More economic zones coming – Tambatamba

THE Government intends to create more special economic zones to promote economic growth and create jobs through enhanced private sector investment, Labour and Social Security Minister Brenda Tambatamba has said.
Ms Tambatamba also said the 24-hour economy would greatly contribute to job creation and accelerated economic development.
She said this yesterday when she officially opened the Tripartite Consultative Labour Council (TLC) meeting in Lusaka yesterday.
Ms Tambatamba said Government placed a high premium on the need to raise the levels of productivity as a means of reversing the effects of debt burden as this would place the country back on the growth trajectory.
