THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga says his administration remains committed to preserving the integrity of the game through high-quality officiating.
Speaking at the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) consultative workshop at Southern Sun Hotel yesterday, Kamanga said one way of achieving this is ramping up the training of officials to actualise the use of VAR in the country.
He said it was unfortunate that Football House had to deal with issues of poor officiating weekly.
“While we appreciate that some of the complaints are ill-founded, we also take note of some very genuine concerns that are repeatedly raised. On our part, we have always made it a point to take advantage of all the training opportunities for our referees through CAF and FIFA in the hope that it will improve the quality of match officiating,” he said.
