THE Auditor General’s Report on the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the year ending December 2022, has revealed a slow uptake of the funds, failure to spend, unaccounted for grants and misapplication of funds by beneficiaries.
The report released by acting Auditor General Ron Mwambwa yesterday, revealed that despite availability of funds and projects being approved for implementation, all 116 councils only spent K321 million out of K1.9 and implemented 1,657 projects out of 4,168 that were approved.
