US firm to spend $725m on feeder roads rehab project

THE construction, rehabilitation and upgrade of 5,000 km of township and feeder roads is earmarked to commence at a cost of US$725 million next year.
The Ministry of Defence has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Landlock Natural Paving of the United States (US) for the project which would be undertaken by the Zambia National Service (ZNS), beginning next year.
Speaking during the project signing ceremony in Lusaka yesterday, Defence Minister Ambrose Lufuma assured that the works would be done within the specified time frame, at the right quality and correct cost.
