THE first bulk batch of essential medicines and medical supplies procured under a government-to-government agreement between Zambia and Egypt, has arrived in Zambia.
The procurement worth US$24 million by the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies (ZAMMSA), through the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority (UPA), has now pushed up drug availability in public hospitals to 90 per cent, from below 70 per cent.
