POLICE in Lusaka have busted a scam where two foreigners swindled a man out of K75,000 and in the process recovered US$1.2 million counterfeit notes and implements of forgery.
The two suspects have been identified as James Goel Malu, a Sudanese national of Maheba Refugee resettlement and Inatio Tembe, a Mozambican national, of Woodlands residential area in Lusaka.
Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said the suspects were also facing a charge of obtaining money by false pretence after they scammed a man only identified as Mr Phiri of Lilayi Estates money amounting to K75,000.
