Chief Whip warns disorderly MPs

GOVERNMENT Chief Whip Stafford Mulusa has warned Members of Parliament (MPs), who have been disregarding parliamentary rules, that they risk being punished for gross disorderly conduct.
Mr Mulusa said he was dismayed by the conduct of some MPs in the House, which was contrary to the laid down rules and procedures.
Mr Mulusa said at a Press briefing in Lusaka yesterday that it was very unfortunate that some lawmakers had gone to the extent of challenging, disrespecting and openly attacking presiding officers, as well as issuing defamatory remarks against fellow MPs, both on the floor of the House and on social media.
