THE World Bank Group has urged Zambia and other low-income countries in Africa to prioritise infrastructure financing to mitigate the challenges of access to electricity, water, sanitation and a good road network.
World Bank vice-president for budget, performance review and strategic planning, Samuel Maimbo said conversation on sustainable financing was important, especially at a time when more than 60 per cent of developing countries are in debt distress or at risk of debt distress.
