THE Zambian Irish potato export market has this year grown to include Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a result of increased value addition to the product.
The Cross Border Network Africa (CBNA) says since Zambia started producing chilled potatoes there has been a huge demand for potatoes by the neighbouring countries unlike when the country exported fresh potatoes.
