‘Local fertiliser production key to food security’

THE emergence of a local fertiliser production industry in Zambia will help diversity the country’s economy from mining to full scale agriculture, Bank of Zambia (BoZ) Governor Denny Kalyalya has said.
Dr Kalyalya said when he toured United Capital Fertiliser (UCF), a subsidiary of Wonderful Group of Companies in Lusaka that local farming input production was a prerequisite to improved yields which would secure local and regional food needs.
