Kawambwa gets K11.7m World Bank fund for irrigation

THE World Bank through Transforming Landscapes for Resilience and Development (TRALARD) has funded Kawambwa district with K11.7 million to enhance agricultural productivity through irrigation.
The project will enhance agricultural productivity in Chansa Malamba, Chibolya and Kalembwe areas of the district.
Kawambwa Town council secretary Isaac Mwale says the project includes constructing and rehabilitating of weirs and irrigation canals at the total cost of K11.7 million .
