HISTORY was made yesterday when Lushomo Mweemba became the first Zambian player to score at a senior World Cup football tournament.
And Barbra Banda scored the 1,000th goal of the coverted FIFA Women’s World Cup, earning her the opportunity to sign the match ball, as well as have the jersey she wore displayed in the FIFA Museum.
The Copper Queens bade farewell to the tournament with an emphatic 3-1 win over Costa Rica.
