LATEST statistics have revealed that the number of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases in Zambia have increased by 32 percent, from 7, 589 in the second quarter of last year to 9, 988 during the same period this year.
According to the police, this showed an increase in the GBV cases during the second quarter of 2023 by 2, 399, which was equivalent to 31.61 percent, and that 29 of them were murder cases.
