A REPRESENTATIVE of refugees in Mayukwayukwa refugee settlement in Western Province has called for refugees to be granted more access to jobs and free movement.
As at May 31, 2023, the settlement had a population of 22,431 refugees from Angola, Rwanda, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Speaking during the commemoration of World Refugee Day in Kaoma District yesterday, the representative, Justin Gasana, of Rwandese origin, said while the children of refugees had access to education, they could not find decent employment upon completion of school.
