Cotton price surges by K5 per kilogramme

PRICE of cotton has increased by K5 per kilogramme (Kg) as the Cotton Board of Zambia (CBZ) expresses confidence in the revival of the industry.
Currently, cotton is fetching at about K15 per Kg from K10 per kg.
With private sector participation, the industry was expected to perform better, as farmers now would be encouraged to scale up their production, according to CBZ executive director Sunduzwayo Banda.
