Minister writes Auditor General over 33,000 vehicles registered without customs clearance

TRANSPORT and Logistics minister Frank Tayali has written to the Auditor General’s Office over the 33,000 vehicles that were registered without Customs clearance and tasked the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) board to investigate the matter.
Mr Tayali said the recent revelation that vehicles were registered by RTSA without paying taxes was worrisome and directed the RTSA board to investigate and establish what transpired.
