ZAMBIA should act swiftly to benefit from a projected demand for an additional seven million tonnes of copper by 2030 from renewed interest in the red metal with the dawn of ‘green’ technology.
The evaluation of the economic impact of the planned US $1.5 billion First Quantum Minerals’ (FQM) investment in Zambia has proposed that the country should act fast to benefit from the metal whose demand is on the upswing.
