PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has appointed and sworn in economist, Chola Milambo, as new Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) and urged him to help foster global peace for economic diplomacy to yield positive results.
Dr Milambo was, until his appointment, working for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC.
President Hichilema said at State House after swearing in Dr Milambo yesterday that the world was faced with additional challenges such as violent government takeovers, political instability in some African countries and the war in Ukraine.
