THE Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has offloaded a net of US$146 million in the fourth quarter of 2021 to ease currency pressures from petroleum demand.
This saw a stronger exchange rate in the period, according to BoZ Governor Denny Kalyalya.
Addressing journalists in Lusaka yesterday, Dr Kalyalya indicated that most of the pressure emanated from higher demand for the importation of petroleum products while supply declined.
