FORMER Copperbelt minister Mathew Sampa Mulanda has died.
Mr Mulanda who was to turn 76, on March 15 this year, died on Monday at 18:00 hours in Ndola Central Hospital from diabetes complications.
His son, Lombe confirmed the death in an interview yesterday.
The late Mr Mulanda was Copperbelt deputy minister from December 1997 to 2001 in the MMD government.
He was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Bwana Mkumbwa Constituency in Ndola on the MMD ticket from 1996 to 2001.
In 2001, he was elected as Chifubu Constituency MP from 2001 to 2006.
Mr Mulanda is survived by a wife, eight children, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral is at his residence at 104 Kabelenga Avenue in Ndola’s town centre.
