‘Zambia’s economy grew by 3.5 p.c. in third quarter’

ZAMBIA’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimates for the third quarter of this year indicates that the economy grew by 3.5 per cent. This represents a 6.5 percentage point increase from minus three per cent recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2020. Zambia statistics Agency (ZamStats) interim statistician general Mulenga Musepa said this growth was mainly attributed to the performance of six industries which posted positive contributions to the overall growth.
