THE continued widespread dry spell in the country has compelled the government to become cautious with the on-going maize export, fearing to affect national food security next year. Agriculture Minister Reuben Phiri says government is taking steps to avoid over exporting maize which may cause the country to run out of grain for domestic consumption due to the current dry spell.
