AFRICAN States should consider expanding domestic and continental investments and seek Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) afterwards in order to negotiate better deals, President Hakainde Hichilema has advised.
Mr Hichilema said there was a need to review the meaning of FDI so that regional bodies such as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), working with banks such as the Africa Development Bank (AfDB), could begin to strengthen business financing.
He said this yesterday at State House when he met COMESA Secretary General Chileshe Kapwepwe.
