ZAMBIA Airways Limited will launch its first flight on September 30, this year, servicing five routes.
The airline will service Ndola, Livingstone and Solwezi on its domestic routes and Johannesburg and Harare in the region under the first phase. The airline was initially supposed to be launched on October 24, 2018 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and among other issues. Zambia Airways Limited board chairperson, Bonaventure Mutale said shareholders, the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Ethiopian Airlines Group contributed capital towards the formation of the airline worth US$30 million.
