Clerics, political leaders pray for peaceful polls

SCORES of people mainly clerics and some political leaders turned up for national Ecumenical Prayers for peaceful Elections in Zambia yesterday with Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland challenging Zambia to remain a beacon of peace. Meeting under the auspices of the Coalition for Peaceful Elections in Zambia at Lusaka’s Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross the participants prayed for peaceful 2021 general elections and listened to solidarity massages as well as a sermon by Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) president Ignatius Chama.
