THE third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic remains a key threat to growth of key sectors of the economy, according to the Kwacha Arbitrageur Magazine. It also states that continued cushioning of the rising costs by providing subsidies in the energy sector were easing consumer burden. The magazine states that delays in hiking pump prices reflect in part authorities subsiding fuel prices so as to cushion cost impact to end users. Brent crude oil futures have edged higher by two cents to US$73.45 a barrel.
