ZAMBIA’s heightened need for oxygen created by COVID-19 cases could be in for a big boost with Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) working towards getting certification for the commodity produced at one of its plants in Chingola.
In a statement released yesterday, KCM chief executive officer Christopher Sheppard said that the oxygen produced at KCM SmelterCo’s 750 tonnes-per-day oxygen plant at the Nchanga Smelter had received initial certification for purity.
