THE Zambia Cooperative Federation (ZCF) has called for public private sector collaboration in building farmer’s productive capacity.
ZCF director general James Chirwa said there was need for stakeholders to focus on providing support that small scale farmers needed to improve their productivity
Mr Chirwa said this was key in moving the Zambian small scale farmers who had remained stagnant to a position where they would be able to produce both consumption and exports.
“Several interventions have been taken by Government to promote agricultural productivity, but in our case in Zambia, the policies have been to support small scale farmers through various interventions,” he said.
