THE Nchanga Rangers executive committee says it will introduce some stringent rules for entry into the stadium to improve its financial muscle and in a bid to survive the current economic conditions brought on by COVID-19.
In a statement released yesterday, club vice president Shapi Shachinda said time had come to move away from a culture where the club received almost nothing from gate takings if it were to effectively manage the daily operations of the club.
“The current economic conditions in a COVID-19 ravaged global economy have made it extremely difficult for sponsors to continue promoting the development of football without disruptions or gaps. Our sponsor has stood tall in making sure we get the best for the team, but you cannot fault them if you notice any gaps because the economic climate is very challenging,” he said.
