A SUSPECTED gunman is wanted by police for alleged stock theft of 79 head of cattle belonging to a farmer of Mpongwe on the Copperbelt.
Copperbelt deputy Police Commissioner Bothwell Namusuwa says the animals stolen from a grazing area in the Lukanga swamps.
“We received a report in Mpongwe involving aggravated robbery of 79 cattle. The reporter is Joster Cheembo, aged 61, of Misofu area in the Lukanga swamps, who informed police that his animals had been stolen from his herdsman at gun point by a man carrying an unknown firearm,” Mr Namusuwa said.
