A TEACHER of Kabwe has appeared in court on charges of obtaining K26,000 from an individual he promised to secure jobs for seven people in the ministry of Education.
Phillip Banda, 37, a teacher at Kalonga Secondary School, is charged with obtaining money by false pretences.
It is alleged that between April 1 and 30 this year, with intent to defraud, Banda obtained K26, 000 from Kunda Kalaba promising he would secure seven places for people to be employed as teachers in the ministry of Education.
