THE Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) says it is committed to continuing to provide uninterrupted power supply to its mining industry clients while negotiations carry on for a new Bulk Power Supply Agreement with Zesco.
The company says a mutually beneficial deal between the players is of strategic importance to the energy sector and the country.
In a statement confirming that significant obstacles remain to signing a new agreement after the lapse of the decades-long agreement that ended on Tuesday night, CEC corporate communications manager Chama Nsabika said yesterday that the Kitwe-based energy company was confident the next coming week would see a narrowing in the negotiation gap.
