By CHILA NAMAIKO in Kawambwa –
PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has commissioned the state-of- the-art 48 Marine Barracks at Kala in Kawambwa with a call for men and women in uniform to continue being loyal to Government.
The camp comprises medium and high-cost houses, administration block, chapel, two kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and a mess hall.
Other facilities include an ultra-modern hospital, sports centre and road network.
Speaking when he commissioned the facility yesterday at a colourful ceremony spiced by military drills from the Special Forces (Commandos), President Lungu said that Zambia had been transformed under his administration without segregating any region.
Mr Lungu said the military camp at Kala demonstrated Government’s vision of a highly developed country with a robust infrastructure development programme.
