GOVERNMENT has finally made a decision not to renew the Bulk Supply Agreement(BSA) between Zesco Limited and the Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) once it expires in March this year.
Minister of Energy Mathew Nkhuwa and ZESCO have since notified CEC of their position that the BSA once expired in March this year would not be renewed, CEC board secretary Julia Chaila said.
In the Lusaka Security Exchange (LuSE) cautionary statement released on Thursday last week ,Ms Chaila informed stakeholders that the BSA between CEC and ZESCO Limited entered into on November 21, 1997 was expected to come to an end on March 31, 2020.
