PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has called on Zambians not to grow weary towards ensuring that the country remained celebrated in Africa and beyond as a friendly nation and beacon of peace.
President Lungu said Zambians should continue doing what they could to ensure that the country, Africa and the world was peaceful.
He said this in a message on ZNBC last evening to commemorate Africa Freedom Day which falls today.
This year’s theme is ‘The year of refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons: towards durable solutions to forced displacement in Africa.’
President Lungu said Zambia was celebrated for its outstanding peace-keeping missions within and outside the African continent.
