ZAMBIA’S Kelvin Ndhlovu won silver at the 2019 Northerns PSA Satellite tournament in South Africa.
Ndhlovu, who was tournament seed one, lost the highly charged final 3-2 (11-9, 7-11, 11-4, 3-11, 8-11) having started brightly as he won the first set before he eventually tumbled to South Africa’s Jean-Pierre Brits at the Pretoria Country Club.
“He was just too sharp for me. You know the season is just starting but that is not an excuse. I shall bounce back in the next competition. My opponent made it seem slightly tough for me but it was nevertheless a hard fought final win for him too,” Ndhlovu said in an interview.
