THE Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has suspended Prime Television’s operating licence for for 30 days.
IBA board secretary Josephine Mapoma told a Press briefing in Lusaka yesterday that Prime TV was being suspended along with Valley FM Radio of Nyimba in Eastern Province for unprofessional conduct.
Ms Mapoma also announced the revocation of licences held by Ngoma Radio in Luanshya on the Copperbelt and Kafue Radio.
She said Prime TV had exhibited a lack of professionalism in its broadcasting through unbalanced coverage, opinionated news, “material likely to incite violence and use of derogatory language”.
