THE biggest rivalry in Midlands Basketball Association league will take center stage this weekend when leaders Unza Pacers face off with Matero Magic on Sunday in a Week-24 clash.
Pacers v Magic
DEFENDING champions Magic come up close face to face with the team that is on its way to dethroning them.
This game promises sparks as there will be everything to play for and could be a defining moment in the title chase but like always there are no favourites.
When these two teams meet it would not only about winning the title but also earning the bragging rights as the biggest team in the country hence a nail biting encounter awaits NASDEC.
With Munali Suns also in the picture for the league title, both sides will need to bring their A-game with that need resting heavier on Magic who know a win would blow open the title chase.
Eagles v Hawks
WHILE the title chase has been reserved for the last game of the weekend, there will be plenty to play for in the relegation zone where Eagles Green Eagles take on Hawks today.
Hawks are in the hunt for a top four finish and facing Eagles who are on their way to League B will prove to be an easy task.
But underrating the struggling side may prove fatal and a defeat would end Hawks top four chances.
Bulldogs v Looters
LAST week, Bulldogs dropped crucial points in their pursuit to keep up with LCC Looters for fourth position.
But today Bulldogs have a chance to reduce the gap and remain in contention for qualification for the national championships.
However, Looters will use their experience and position to be motivated and continue pulling away as the season draws closer to the end.
In the feminine fixtures Nishati Shells are up against LCC Lootresses, Unza Honeys take on Hotspurs and Magic Spurs will play against Napsa Breeze.
Tomorrow, the action continues with Napsa Hurricanes against Munali Suns, Nishati Denvers clash against Green Buffaloes and Shell face Green Buffaloes ladies.
