THREE gang members of the ‘Tokota Boys’ yesterday pleaded not guilty to rape charges before the Kitwe magistrate’s court.
Two of the accused persons are jointly charged with 17 others who are facing three counts of unlawful wounding or poisoning, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and kidnapping a 16-year-old boy in Kitwe.
Richard Siame, Teddy Chilufya and Chris Kalenga all denied the rape charge when they appeared before Resident Magistrate Yvonne Nalomba.
The three are separately charged but are alleged to have raped the same woman.
Particulars of the offence are that in the first count, Siame had carnal knowledge of the woman without her consent on February 2, this year, while in count two, Chilufya is alleged to have committed the same offence against the same woman.
In count three Kalenga is charged with the same charge.
